What is Local Church ‘Culture?’
Every local church manifests a particular ‘culture,’ - a set of core values and convictions that characterizes its people and guides its practices. This is developed over time and must be lived out, guarded and propagated so that it can be passed on to succeeding generations.
Lighthouse Culture - Core Values – DNA
This is who we are! These are what we hold dear in our hearts and what we seek to instill in every Lighthouse member.
A Culture of Healthy Spirituality
Where Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, the only way to God the Father, and where absolute submission to Him and obedience to His teachings are the defining marks of a true Christian.
Where the principles of the Bible are the only binding guides for all beliefs, behaviors and choices as Christians.
Where the free flow of the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit are encouraged in an orderly and edifying manner.
Where the community of believers is kept in balance by devotion to God, family, and vocation.
A Culture of Life-Giving Relationships
Where ‘Life in Community’ is the Holy Spirit’s chief catalyst for human transformation, and that genuine growth occurs only after a person becomes honest, and authentic in his/her relationships with others.
Where people from all walks of life and every season of life can become fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
Where every person is highly valued by God and where love permeates all relationships.
Where there are no hopeless cases with God because by His grace and through our repentance, restoration is possible.
A Culture of Dynamic Ministry
Where lost people matter to God and should matter to the church.
Where every Christian is uniquely gifted by God to serve in His kingdom, and where his/her life finds purpose only as he/she puts the kingdom first.
Where we uphold the spiritual unity of the global body of Christ while affirming its cultural diversity.
Where Christians live and serve with fullness of joy because in Jesus Christ, they have a reason to celebrate God’s amazing grace.
